there's this guy i'm interested in... he goes to school with me and was in town for class and he came to my apartment the other night... there were other people there, but as soon as they had the opportunity, they abandoned me (because they know i'm interested in the guy)...
what i should have done when they left: "hey, do you want to watch a movie?"
what i did: just sat there while we watched tv for a little while and then he left...
and then, after he left, and i called everyone who would care that he had been over and a few who wouldn't care but would listen to me anyway... all of them said, "you should have asked him to watch a movie..." after the 3rd person said it, i thought...
IDIOT!!

i know... (by the way... i always thought that was a pure monica-thing... the "i know" in that voice... but the other day lorelai on gg said it like that) i can't believe i didn't think to do that... but whatever...
